DHSOB appeal for new players to join club's colts
CITY rugby club chairman Mike Freeman is banking on his colts side to give his first team a kick-start.
Freeman, chairman of rugby at Devon Two outfit DHSOB, is building up the club's colts with the aim of bringing them through to the first team.
Today (2.30), their colts play Plymstock Albion Oaks at the club's Stonehouse Creek base and Freeman is keen to hear from anyone who wants to join the under-17s side.
Freeman said: "Since they are a young colts side, they haven't quite got the physicality they need and consequently we've been beaten a few times.

"But every time we play better and when they get another year older, they will be able to compete at a reasonable level and I'm sure our results will improve."
Freeman, whose senior side are one off the bottom of Devon Two, said the club were going through a difficult phase at present as far as the first team were concerned.
But he said: "The colts side are very important to the future of the club.
"We're in a difficult position at the moment, but one day these players will come through and play for the first team."
DHSOB's firsts, who have not won a league game this season, face third-placed Plymouth Argaum at Stonehouse Creek today (2.30).
