Daley sets new PB as he takes British title
PLYMOUTH'S teenage Olympic star Tom Daley today set a new personal best to win the 10m platform event at the British Diving Championships in Sheffield.
European champion Daley, 14, finished with an impressive total of 517.55, which was over 133 points better than second-placed Jack Laugher, who finished with 384.10.
Southampton's Gary Hunt was third with 363.50.
Daley also scored over 500 points in the semi-finals on his way to retaining the senior title he won for the first time last year.

The win in Sheffield qualifies the Eggbuckland Community College pupil to compete at this summer's World Championships in Rome.
He said: “It was my personal best score so I am really happy with that,” he said.
“I haven’t competed since the Junior World Championships (in September). It was good to get back into competition and get my best.
“With the 500 points it is a top barrier that I have always wanted to reach and now that I have gone through it in a proper competition it definitely boosts my confidence.”
Last year, Daley became the second youngest male athlete to compete for Great Britain at an Olympics Games, where he finished an impressive seventh in the individual event and eighth in the synchro.

“Bit worried after the fourth dive in the preliminary but you came good after that. Your first dive in the final was straight out of the coaching manual. All of your high tariff dives were excellent and congratulations on busting the 500 barrier (twice). As usual the rip entry was text book stuff. Well done Tom and well done Andy Banks, a brilliant team.”
