Darren Purse leaves Plymouth Argyle - and expected to sign for Port Vale
PLYMOUTH Argyle captain Darren Purse has left the Home Park club by mutual consent, writes Chris Errington.
The 35-year-old centre-back is set to sign for League Two title contenders Port Vale on Monday, on a deal until the end of the season.
Purse will not play for either team when they meet each other at Vale Park tomorrow (3pm).
Herald Sport understands Purse agreed a contract settlement with Argyle today, ending his 13-month stay at the club.
