GRAHAM DAWE believes former Premiership side Bristol will offer his Plymouth Albion side a harder test than Nottingham did last week.

Albion entertain Paul Hull's side at Brickfields tomorrow aiming to beat a top three side for the second time in seven days.

Last Saturday, Albion overturned the form book to beat second-placed Nottingham 31-25.

Nottingham arrived at Brickfields with just one defeat to their name.

Bristol arrive having lost two games, but Dawe expects them to pose a tougher test.

"It is conceivable this fixture will be harder than the Nottingham game," said Dawe.

"Mainly because Bristol are going to be playing with most of the players that they have been playing with over the last few weeks."

However, former Bath star Dawe is looking forward to clashing with his old rivals in what will be the first meeting between Albion and Bristol for four-and-a-half years.

"It will be nice to play a game of rugby against Bristol again," said Dawe.

"Bristol are as a big club from a big city with a rich history.

"They are perceived as the big boys in this league this season."

Ahead of last week's match against Nottingham, Dawe said there were no unbeatable teams in the Championship this year.

He reiterated that this week, but qualified his statement.

"Sides are only beatable if you play well against them," said Dawe. "That is what we have to try and do tomorrow. We have to turn up and play well to win."

Albion won last week, but Dawe still felt there was room for improvement.

"We were frustrated with some aspects of our game," said the Albion boss, despite seeing his team out-score Nottingham five tries to three.

"We allowed them (Nottingham) to stay in touch, to go home with a bonus point and almost a win."

Dawe, though, would certainly settle for the same attitude and tempo his team showed last week against Bristol tomorrow.

"Every week we look to play with tempo, purpose, precision, the right attitude and a high level of skill.

"But the fact that we don't always achieve that every week is more often than not down to the opposition, who are equally determined to get a win."

Dawe is calling on the Albion supporters to help his team get that extra edge tomorrow.

"I would like to think we would get a bigger crowd this week than last," said Dawe.

"However, last week's crowd did create a great atmosphere, which was well received.

"Hopefully, they can do the same this weekend. We do need to make it as tough as possible for them (Bristol).

"We've got to try and keep that pressure on the referee, especially when we are in the end zone."

Albion will start with the same 15 who lined up against Nottingham.

However, there could be changes on the bench.

Hooker Joe Clark and young centre Steve Johns have been added to the squad.

Clark missed last week's game with a neck injury and he will need to come through a fitness test before tomorrow's match.

But Dawe admitted Clark's chances of making the big game were 'good'.

Johns has yet to be part of Albion's first team squad, but his chance could come tomorrow.

"We are considering the balance of our bench," said Dawe. "We may decide to go four and three (four forwards and three backs as opposed to five and two). Steve has been dogged by injuries over the last six weeks, but like Mark Lee and Ben Mercer he is a young player who is showing good appetite."

Albion: K Hallett (capt), B Mercer, K Fisilau, S Tu'ipulotu, L Gibson, A Davies, R Cushion, M Rice, J Owen, R Hopkins, M Lewis, T Hotson, S-M Stephen, R Watts-Jones, K Marriott. Reps (from): M Lee, G Kingdom, G Dawe, J Clark, D Porte, D Morton, T Skelding, W Sprangle, S Johns.
