Derrys petition
NEWS in the Herald that another Plymouth Store is closing is a reminder to the public of Plymouth and surrounding area that Derry's department store in Plymouth was once the flagship store of the Plymouth Co-operative group before it was closed when joining the national concern.
Surely with the number that used to shop there, members and non members, there should be a fair amount of clout for a petition trying to get the store reopened.
Please view the petition at www.petition.co.uk/derrys. Members of the public without the internet could ask their local library if they could help.

“Who do you want to re-open it? As you said PSW Co-op no longer exists. The company that bought Derrys from PSW Co-op went out of business and the store closed. The tenancy is available for anyone who has the wish to open a store there. Instead of creation a petition, why not try to create a new co-op?”
