Plymouth Devils keen to be on track for new season
PLYMOUTH Devils team boss Lee Trigger is confident his new-look side can craft a season to remember after two campaigns to forget.
But Trigger admitted he was nervous after being handed the responsibility of rebuilding Devils' fortunes on the track.

New-look Devils have been taken over by a consortium and Trigger has been handed the job of making them play-off contenders.
Last season, Devils finished bottom of the Premier League, and in the previous campaign they were bottom but one.

One of the problems they faced last season was a lack of pre-season meetings in which to gel as a unit.
The result was the team went into the season 'cold' and suffered in the league table accordingly.
Trigger is determined that is not going to happen again. And as a safeguard, he is getting as many 'practice' fixtures lined up as he can before the season opens for real on April 4 with a League Cup meeting at Ipswich.
Trigger launches his solo managerial career – last season he was joint team manager with former Devils captain Seemond Stephens – in March.
He is hoping to set up a competitive friendly fixture, possibly against Poole, before the Devils face West Country rivals Somerset Rebels in home and away challenge fixtures on March 29 and 30.
Trigger said: "I'm trying to get a fixture for the weekend of March 22 so the team can gel.
"If we can get one or two meetings before the season starts, then it will really help. In the worst-case scenario, we'll have the fixtures against Somerset before the season starts, but I do want to set up more competitive meetings before the season begins."
Trigger said he was keen to get the season under way, but added: "It's the first time I have run a team on my own and I have to admit I'm a bit nervous.
"But it's an excited sort of nervous."
