Devils plan to light up 2010 National season
PLYMOUTH Devils chief Mike Bowden is intending to install new track lighting at the St Boniface Arena.
The National League team presently operate with lights powered by a generator.

However, Bowden intends to install more powerful lights run on electricity in 2010, in a bid to improve visibility and make the speedway track more appealing both to riders and also spectators.
"I am looking at replacing the current lighting system and making improvements to it," said Bowden.
"I am hoping to have lights similar to those used, at Plymouth Golf Centre in Elburton.
"They will be much more powerful and they will really light up the track."
Bowden added: "I am looking at having three lights on the home straight and three on the back straight.
"If they are positioned correctly, we may not need to have additional lighting on the two bends.
"We will take a look at it and maybe use just one light on each bend.
"But, whatever happens, the lighting will be much improved and it should add to the enjoyment of both the riders and the spectators."
Meanwhile, Bowden has welcomed the news that Plymouth's National League rivals Weymouth Wildcats have confirmed they will be running in 2010.
There had been doubts whether cash-strapped Wildcats would be able to compete. However, a new sponsorship deal has secured Weymouth's immediate future and means they can renew their rivalry with the Devils this season.
"It is great news that Weymouth will be competing in 2010," said Bowden.
"They are our local derby and our main rivals.
"It will be brilliant for fans of both teams to be able to watch matches between the two sides.
"They have always been entertaining and exciting in the past, and I am sure this season will be no different."
