Disgusted by theft of our belongings
ON TUESDAY, October 16, I left my backpack at the bus stop outside Toys R Us containing my Specsavers glasses, and two passports belonging to my wife and I. To the dishonest person who stole this and failed to hand the backpack to the police, it has cost my wife and I a total of £350 to travel to Newport passport office for new replacement passports and the cost of the train fare.
We cannot believe that someone did not have the decency and honesty to return our property through the proper channels, i.e. the police or a phone call to our home address, which was in the backpack, to inform us they had our personal belongings.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Just remember not to put yourself in a position to be robbed or attacked. If it looks late out and dodgy, get a taxi or keep your stuff close, or dont go out. A simple concept like this will save a lot of hassle.”
