DIVING: Plymouth Diving's Tonia Couch (far left) and former city partner Sarah Barrow (left) clinched the British women's 10m synchro title in Southend yesterday.

Couch and Barrow, now of City of Leeds DC, beat only rivals Stacie Powell and Rebecca Gallantree (305.76 points) to top spot with 313.14 points.

In Olympic year, they were the only pairs to compete.

Meanwhile, Plymouth Diving prospects Shanice Lobb (201.75) and Kayleigh Sinclair (171.20) finished 13th and tied 16th respectively in the women's 1m preliminary, failing to make the top eight, who contested yesterday's 1m final. 219.95 points was the cut-off score.
