Drunk and disorderly man spends three days in custody for missing Plymouth court hearing

A MAN arrested for being drunk and disorderly spent three days in custody after missing a court hearing.

Paul Riley, from Ireland but of no fixed abode, was escorted by police from McDonalds in New George Street when he refused to leave at around 10.30pm on January 21.

City magistrates heard how he spent 11 hours in custody after his arrest – thinking that was the end of the matter.

Riley, 35, returned to Ireland and was arrested again when he failed to attend court in Plymouth on February 8.
