Elderly woman trapped after Plympton car crash knocks down lamppost
A car crash in Plympton left an elderly woman injured and electrical cables lying in the road.
Both lanes of Glen Road in Plympton was shut by police following the crash at 3.20pm yesterday.

Firefighters, police and paramedics arrived on the scene to find two cars had collided outside the Lord Louis pub and restaurant.
A blue Ford Ka and a red Vauxhall van crashed leaving a lamppost damaged and its electrical wires exposed, say police.

The driver of the Ford, a 75-year-old woman, was trapped in the car.
Two fire crews, one from Plympton and one from Crownhill, responded after a call from ambulance control.
The elderly driver was freed from the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment and she was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth by ambulance.
Police said her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The fire brigade left the scene at 4.45pm but the road remained closed to allow repair of the lamppost.
