Engineer dies while working on electricity line near Plymouth

An engineer has died while working at height on an electricity pole near Plymouth.

Police and paramedics were called to Pier Lane in Cawsand after an engineer from Western Power Distribution died late on Wednesday night.

Police are preserving the scene pending the arrival of investigators from the Health and Safety Executive.

It is believed the engineer may have had a cardiac arrest.
