European food a hit at market
A CONTINENTAL market has transformed the city centre into a bustling trade place.
Traders from across Europe yesterday brought some of the finest food, drink and craft work to the city and will be here until Sunday September 30.
The market, on Armada Way and Place de Brest, offers an array of continental produce and cuisine for visitors to sample and buy.
Among the tempting treats are German baked goods, cheeses and wines, Baklava, Eastern Mediterranean pastries and breads, Italian delis, charcuterie, creperie and Belgian chocolate.

It always attracts shoppers from far and wide and creates a fantastic atmosphere in the City Centre. Opening times: 9am to 6pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Organised by Plymouth City Centre Company and Market Place Europe, this is the first of four continental markets to visit, with further events scheduled to take place later in October and in February and April 2012.
