“The only reason I commented here was because the Airport page is not currently allowing comments. Don't know why!!!
Also, I was told that my first post failed and so I resubmitted but now they are both here ???”

“This slip has minor impact on Plymouth as it's not on the mainline, BUT I agree we do need an airport. Yet again we can't comment on the airport story.
Getting to Exeter Airport is a right pain by public transport. It's ok if you can get a lift/are free to park there, but try doing it by train and bus/taxi and it costs a fortune and takes an age. At the very least Plymouth should have a direct and regular coach connection linking the City with Exeter Airport and Newquay Airport while our own airport is out of action.”

“This is why Plymouth needs an airport! Our connections are diabolical and a day after the government kicks Plymouth in the teeth by awarding high speed trains to the already well served north, they then say we don't need an airport. Just before Christmas, we couldn't actually get to Exeter airport for a flight we had due to flooding on the A38, pretty much every other route out of the city and the train lines were down too. Ridiculous!”
