A SCALE model display depicting the Falklands conflict is to be one of the main attractions at a popular annual show this year.

The Plymouth Scale Model Association is returning to the Guildhall on Saturday April 28 to host its Scale Model Exhibition.

Toy soldiers, miniature railways, model aircraft and plastic tanks will be out in force at the show.

But a large part of the show will this year be dedicated to The South Atlantic Special Interest Group which will be putting on a special display re-enacting the Falklands conflict of 1982.

With this year being the 30th anniversary of the conflict, the show's event co-ordinator Dave Watson said he wanted to commemorate the occasion in style.

Clubs and traders from across the UK will be running stalls at the show, and exhibits will include aircraft, ships, cars, railways and fantasy items.

Comic books, old military uniforms and Airfix kits are also likely to be on display.

The exhibition will run from 10am to 4pm.

Veterans of the Falklands conflict will gain free entry to the event on display of their campaign medal.

Anyone requiring further information on the event should call Dave Watson on 01752 518287.
