AS MANY homebuyers will know, someone pulling out of the chain is a common problem when moving house.

Redrow helped one family who were struggling when the buyer for their existing property pulled out at the last minute.

The family, who moved from neighbouring Keyham in April last year, are now happily living in their four-bedroom end-terrace Raleigh property at Vision in Devonport, Plymouth, thanks to Redrow's Part Exchange initiative.

Suzanne Read and Rhys Evans were trying to sell their house in Keyham when their buyer pulled out. Suzanne said: "We first visited Vision because we had outgrown our house and desperately needed a larger property.

"We were looking in the same area as we loved the community and didn't want the children to move schools.

"We also decided on a new build so we didn't need to do anything to it, we were sick of the constant repairs to our 100-year-old home.

"In addition, we wanted to be within walking distance of the school so we wouldn't have to rely on cars or public transport.

"We have found what we were looking for in our new home and we couldn't be happier.

"We were initially attracted to the Raleigh house type because it was one of the biggest on the development and came with a large garden, which the children adore.

"We also fell in love with the really quirky feature of a round window in the en suite. The houses are all modern-looking and have a clean-cut style which we also like.

"When the buyer for our existing home pulled out, Part Exchange saved the day. It was brilliant – with no third-party it was very straightforward and ran a lot smoother than a traditional exchange.

"We started looking at houses in February and by April we were in our new home. Part Exchange has worked really well for us and we'd encourage other people to find out more.

"Redrow's customer service was fantastic; they looked after us during the whole process and were extremely helpful.

"The sales team, Catherine and site manager Andy in particular have been brilliant, any queries we've had have all been resolved promptly and we still go to her now with any questions that we have – after-care certainly isn't an after thought.

"Redrow has been excellent and we would recommend them to everyone."

Emma Solman, area sales manager for Redrow (South West), said: "We are proud to be able to help house hunters like them to fulfil their ambitions of owning their dream home and were more than happy to go the extra mile to help Suzanne and Rhys in their hour of need.

"Part Exchange is an appealing solution for movers who are struggling to find a buyer. After a Redrow Part Exchange evaluation of your existing property, you could receive an offer within 48 hours so you can move virtually straight away, without the worry of lengthy chains.

"We encourage homebuyers to find out more about this great initiative, it could help make your move into your dream Redrow home hassle-free."

Part Exchange is available on selected Redrow homes at all developments in the South West, as long as the value of the existing property is worth a minimum 35 per cent less than the chosen Redrow home.

Redrow's contemporary Vision development in Devonport has something for everyone and because it is beautifully situated, homebuyers can also enjoy the best of this prime position. Suzanne and Rhys's four-bedroom Raleigh home is just one of properties at Vision.

A range of two bedroom apartments as well as two, three and four bedroom houses are also available from £119,995 to £184,885.
