Feel like a smoke? Get outside
THE FIRE service has given its backing to a smoke outside campaign.
Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said it fully supports the 'Smoke Outside Campaign' launched by South West Smokefree Homes.
-

The aim of the campaign is to tackle the problem of smoking within the home.
When someone smokes inside their home, poisonous chemicals are left behind on everything with which people come into contact, including furniture, walls, rugs, carpets and even children's toys.

More people die in fires caused by smoking products than in fires caused by anything else.
Advice from the fire service included ensuring cigarettes are always stubbed out properly and disposed of carefully; keep lighters, matches and smoking materials out of the reach of children and buy child-resistant lighters and containers for matches.
