Festive party puts young in fun mood
EFFORD threw a party for local children to celebrate the countdown to Christmas.
Nearly 50 youngsters and their families enjoyed the weekend's colourful event in Stott Close.
The party had been arranged by the Thames Gardens Residents' Association as a treat for pre-school and primary pupils living nearby.
The youngsters went head-to-head during party games and took to the dance floor for a festive jig.

Father Christmas himself even paid a visit to the extravaganza, which organisers said "went down very well".
There were also face-painters on hand to give the children artistic animal-style makeovers to complement their fancy dress outfits.
Some young party-goers had donned Santa Claus and elf suits for the seasonal celebration.
Thames Gardens Residents' Association secretary Paul Martin said: "It was a pleasant – although manic – afternoon."
