Firefighters sent to Plymouth nursing home

Firefighters were called to a nursing home this morning after a fire started in the electric motor of a lift.

Crews from Plympton, Crownhill and Greenbank went to the home in Plymbridge Road, Colebrook in Plympton after reports of a smell of burning from a lift shaft.

After firefighters put out the fire an engineer was called to repair the lift.
