Fortescue face tough challenge in Sunday Senior Cup
FORTESCUE Northend face the almost impossible challenge of advancing to the third round as they face Lakeside Athletic.
Last week, Fortescue just managed to defeat Division Two side Dartmoor Pumas 3-2 in the Active Alarms Barrie Williams Memorial Trophy.
Meanwhile, Lakeside thumped Seymour Arms 9-3 to maintain their perfect start to the season in which they have scored 71 goals in just nine games.
Modbury Rovers manager Alex Pitcher expects to have an almost full squad for their match against Stonehouse Glass.
Lloyd Quinlan, Matt Doswell, Harry Meads, Jon Butland, Steven Edwards and Ross Green all return after missing last week's match against Chaddlewood Inn.
Modbury's only expected absentee will be the injured James Glasspoole.
Navy Inn have players missing for the visit of Mermaid Villa Efford to Staddiscombe.
The in form pair of Sam Romang and Danny Lewis are notable absentees and there are question marks hanging over Martin Biles, Rob Dicken, Chris Maskell and Lance Easton.
Division One strugglers Packfirst Removals travel to Tamarside Community College to play Kings Tamerton CA.
The only doubts for Kings Tamerton are Lee Dixon (ribs), Adam Kennedy (ankle) and Steve Turner (thigh) who see brothers James and Ben Annis as well as Ashley Ward come back into contention.
Kings Tamerton (from): D Batten, M Piper, L Dixon, A Kennedy, V Igalawuye, S Piper, T Lavis, S Turner, S Mann, C Carter, S Cook, G Kenward, B Annis, B Washam, D West, J Annis, A Ward.
AFTER losing 17-0 to Bluebird United last week, Cobra FC are up against it again when they face second-placed Exchange FC.
Exchange will look to build on their convincing 7-1 win against Walkhampton in the Active Alarms Barrie Williams Trophy.
Bluebird, meanwhile, are the favourites in their home tie against Dartmoor Pumas.
The 17 goals they scored last week have put them on to 110 goals in just 10 league games.
The Pumas have scored exactly half that figure, 55 goals, in the same number of matches.
In the other game, Devonport FC B – languishing in the bottom three – face Walkhampton.
ST JOHNSTON SSC continue in search of their first win of the season.
They welcome Devonport FC to Victoria Park having drawn just one game from their first eight matches.
Devonport, meanwhile, will look to move further clear from the relegation zone.
It is expected to be a tight affair at Plympton as Mainstone SSC welcome Morley Arms A.
Mainstone are just above the relegation zone with six points while Morley are on seven.
Seymour Arms can move out of the bottom three with a win against Wembury Rovers.
THE Windmill aim to close the gap on the top two, Bluebird and Exchange, as they make the trip to play Twenty Nine FC.
The Windmill are six points behind Exchange with two games in hand and are expected to beat a Twenty Nine team who have won just once this season.
Meanwhile, Chaddlewood Inn travel to Modbury to play FC Duke and Domino FC are home to bottom club Barnes United.
In the other league game, Morley Arms B play host to Lamorna Keltic.
