Free films to be shown at Plymouth Central Library

PLYMOUTH Central Library is offering the chance to see Oscar-winning films – for free.

The library opposite Drake Circus was today playing the James Bond film Skyfall at 10.30am and Ben Affleck's Argo at 2pm.

The Saturday showing is part of a monthly scheme to allow users to catch the latest movies at no cost.

Skyfall's theme song, written and performed by British singing sensation Adele, won the Academy Award for Best Song, while Argo picked up three awards at the Oscars, including Best Picture.
