Fundraisers go over the top to help bereavement charity
A GROUP of brave charity fundraisers conquered their fears to bag around £2,500 for children dealing with the loss of a loved one.
Twenty-seven people, from nine to 63 years old, took part in an abseil on Saturday for Plymouth-based charity Jeremiah's Journey.

The charity abseil off Derriford Hospital was organised by retired city businessman Mike Trembeth.
He said: "My granddaughter Ella D'Cunha was the youngest person to do the abseil, without any fear, and I was the oldest – it was a real family affair!

"I hope we've raised around £2,500 which is absolutely fantastic. It was very nervewracking for everyone taking part but with a bit of a pep talk and some great support everyone conquered their nerves.
"It was thoroughly rewarding and very enjoyable and gave everyone a very good feeling.
"All the participants brought lots of family members with them which created great support and a brilliant atmosphere. It is the first time I have organised the event for Jeremiah's Journey but I'm hoping to make it an annual thing because of the incredible support it got."
Next month Mr Trembeth will travel to China and walk along 120 miles of the Great Wall of China to raise even more money for the charity.
