time athlete. As an elite swimmer, Plymouth Leander is
one the UK's leading sprint programmes and I believe Plymouth is the best place
for me to pursue my goals in the pool.
I chose UCP Marjon because the scholarship
scheme that was offered to me was unbeatable.
The support I receive to balance my
University life with swimming is great. Most lecturers understand if I am
unable to attend a lecture for training and trust that I do any work needed at
home. They also offer help that I may need to cope with my busy training
schedule and my course, so that I can gain the best results I am capable of.
Once I have graduated it will be Olympic
year which is where I intend to take a year out and fully focus on my training
and qualifying for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. After that I am not entirely
sure what I will do but I hope to have a career in the sporting Industry, in a
role involved from community to elite sport."
