With the Premier League already concluded the previous week with The Steaming Speedos champions and Moorland Heating runners up, as was the Championship after the top of the table clash saw We Are Rubbish crowned champions and Sinners ending up runners up, the spotlight fell on League One. With Charver starting the match only needing to avoid defeat against the team in second place, The Enforcers, it was a match that had almost riding on it as the recent Manchester derby! After a competitive and tight first half it was The Enforcers who had slightly the better of it and turned around 4 – 2 ahead. As the second half began, Charver got up a slight head of steam and looked like they may get back in the game. They couldn't quite close the gap and as the half went on The Enforcers forged ahead with the prolific James Tunnell bagging four as they nicked the title with a 10 -4 win.
Both sides will look to renew their challenge in the Championship starting on 22nd May.
