"BEFORE you hit your putt, you must first read the green.

"Go behind the ball, kneel down and look along the line of the putt towards the hole (see picture one).

"Then imagine if you had a ball in your hand and rolled it straight towards the hole, which side, if any, would the ball miss on.

"If you feel that the ball will fall away to the left and finish two inches to the left, then you must aim two inches to the right to allow for the break (see picture two).

"Visualising the new line, try picking something to aim at along this line and square your club face up to that.

"You are now aligned correctly to start the ball where you want it too (see picture three).

"You won't always get it right everytime, no one does, and even if you do, you have to get the weight correct also."
