I can't speak for the other people you mentioned, however I feel I should make my position clear. If this was a genuine incident then of course all right-minded individuals would have nothing but absolute sympathy for this poor lady to have gone through such an ordeal. However, by the time I got around to post my (flippant) remark, so many sympathetic comments had been made already that I would have just been repeating that which had already been said.
It was a joke, not meant maliciously, so lighten up.

I actually live just around the corner from where this alleged incident took place and I find it very difficult to accept that things happened as reported. Something just doesn't ring true about all this.

As for having nothing better to do than sitting here 'tapping away at every story going' .....you are the one that posted at 8.52 this morning, while the rest of us were doing household chores, the weekly shop, walking the dog or 101 other things that people do on a Saturday morning.
