ANNABEL'S in Vauxhall Street is renowned for staging some pretty cool bands, but Giles Robson and the Dirty Aces, who play the venue tomorrow night, are among her most prestigious visitors.

The band is widely recognised as being world class, and Giles has been hailed the best, most original and exciting harmonica virtuoso on the planet.

His voice is pretty exceptional, too. "I'm not trying to sound black, my vocals are more directly influenced by my favourite punk, garage and rock vocalists.

"When you get a white blues musician trying to sound like a black musician that's where the parody and the tired cliches begin."
