“The same thing happened to me about 5 years ago and thankfully the driver drove the bus straight to crownhill police station where the police arrested him it is not a nice feeling and i hope this young girl is ok, people like this should not get away with this unfortunatly after going to court my attacker did get away with it due to his 'learning difficulties'....i hope the catch him b4 he does something like this again,”

“Sickening. There are some twisted idiots out there. Just one point though, how come most of you think that "informing the driver" will somehow solve the problem. What are you expecting them to do exactly ?. Yes, he/she will probably have a radio in the bus, but that only links them to their control office. Much faster for someone (anyone) to use a mobile phone to notify Police directly in situations such as this. It is also less likely that the offender will realise he has been spotted and may still be on the bus when (if) the Police arrive.”

“Don't blame the victim. She's come forward now. Not everyone thinks the same way wen they're scared. We dnt know anything about this girl or her life so how dare anyone judge her! Disgusting! No wonder people r too scared to report such crimes. Says a lot about our society n the people in it for her to be faced wiv such criticism from people who weren't even there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's the victim. Save ur negative comments 4 the perpetrator!”

“This happened to me once where a lad behind me lipped his hand around the side of the seat, windowside, and at first I just thought my coat had got caught on something but when I realised what was going on I jumped up, turned to face him and shouted 'Get your hands of me you dirty pervert - driver, call the police!'. The lad was up and off the bus in seconds BUT I had about 10 witnesses and he was thereafter caught. This wasn't in Plymouth but London. This young girl would have been upset but she should absolutely have told the driver before getting off the bus. Now she has left him at large to do it again or maybe worse.”

“the point people are seeming to miss iss the fact when your the victim of anything, crimes like this and assaults ect. well it is to run and get away from the area? ( ie PANIC) How many times have you walk buy a fright or something and did NOTHING?. And the reason is simple because the way the laws are nower days.gone the days of self defence as u,ll end up the CRIMINAL!!!!!!.and thats why SOME choose to turn a blind eye to most things and why this young lady didnt say nothing?.PS whats the driver going to do? call for help | ha by the time anyone gets there this mans done a runner or something.or hurts someone then what?.......”

“Interesting that with nothing more than a sketchy allegation, backed up with rather bizzarre behaviour (not telling anyone till she gets home, presumably!) that in full belief of this story everyone jumps to her defence and the 'alleged' perpetrator is branded a pervert!
Why didn't she tell the driver? why exactly?
Is she getting all the TLC she needs? Will she be alright?
All sounds a lot like the recent story of some guy flashing a girl in a bus stop on Royal Parade during a Saturday afternoon with no witnesses....
If I am wrong then she has my complete support but we need to think before commenting and following the vengeful herd mentality that exists in all cases of this type.”
