Show secretary Diane Williams said yesterday: "It was a tragic accident and the family wish us to continue."
Patricia Barrett, wife of show chairman Ivan Barrett, was at the show ground on Saturday. "It was an accident. Nothing could have been done any differently to stop it," she said.
"It's one of those things that you don't ever expect to happen. It was tragic for everyone concerned. They were all absolutely devastated."

“Jeremy Badger, how on earth are my comments stupid ?

If I was there I would of watched the driver back, why didn't anyone else !”

“If she ran into his path (like toddlers do), he'd have had no chance to stop in time”

“You were there then kingof kernow? If you were not there then what right have you got to make stupid statements like that? Wait until the inquest, like all reasonable people, then people will know the truth, until then SHUT IT!”

“Me and my family go to this show and others to show off our vintage machines and i can tell you that great care is taken to prevent any kind of danger or harm to the public. We are all gutted and deeply sad that this has happened and our heart felt sympathy goes to Tayla's family. R.I.P Tayla .”

Try reversing a vehicle on a building site without a banksman and wait for the Foreman to tell you in no uncertain terms the error of your ways.
Surely commonsense would of made the driver ask someone to watch them back up !
It was an avoidable death and procedures must change for all similar events.”

Wonder if the inquest coroner will share that view?”
