Goals Plymouth Movember charity 5 a side Tournament was certaintly no wash out, With 13 teams braving the adverse weather conditions to support the charity cause.

Today's tournament saw some fantastic football played by all teams with some shock results as well. Charver looked a threat all day and looked like they could possibly go all the way, however it was not to be and they fell just short in the semi-final. Balls deep were looking to bring their league form into this competition and having blown away the Premiership on Monday nights looked very confident however they did not have it all their own way by losing 1 game in the group stages on their way to a storming final. Shift and Shoot were the perennial outsiders having not been seen in the goals leagues before so little was known about them until they demolished their group on route the final. Some of our usual teams Knee it and Heskeys left foot also showed flashes of brilliance.P Bears Chang also looked good in patches but just could not maintain the momentum.

Final  Balls Deep In rubber Crumb  Vs  Shift and Shoot.

Today's final looked on paper to be a cracking match up with both teams keen on playing a quick game and to use their pace. The first half was very tense with both teams marking well and with little space to penetrate. Shift & Shoot scored first as Liam Hooks was found out of position and Shift & Shoot took advantage by rounding Liam and placing a neat shot into the bottom right hand corner. Balls Deep however did manage to find some space as Shift & Shoot seemed to still be celebrating their last goal Jason Palmer played a neat 1-2 with Liam Hooks and Jason Palmer slotted home a neat finish. Both teams looked to push on after the break and it was shift and Shoot who scored from a mistake from Jason Palmer who thought he heard a call from his keeper to leave it but didn't and Shift and Shoot got on to the loose ball and Warren Daw finished off with a neat finish into the bottom right hand corner.  Tom Hall was looking to get forward as well to join in with his teams constant attacks and almost scored from a neat move himself. Dan Yeoman who had to dash home for work for Balls Deep was being missed and as Balls Deep started to tire Warren Daw took on 2 players and managed to score what proved to be the decisive goal and shift and Shoot ran out 3-1 winners.
