Wednesday Night League - results & round up
With a number of student and services teams not in a position to continue into a new season there has been some juggling around of the leagues and we are grateful for those teams who have been flexible in moving things around.
With some consolidation in the divisions it has certainly made for an interesting new start for a few teams. Those playing in the top division provided a number of close encounters with only a couple of goals separating winners and losers in all four matches. Knee It! Had a good win in the Championship no doubt boosted by winning the recent Fair Play League as they ran out 9 – 4 against Sweaty City. Things look like taking a week or two to settle in League 1 as Chris's Kittens suffered with player unavailability and lost heavily 12 – 3 to Shakhtar Last Night FC. J & D Bricklayering had a good result against Glass Curtain, winning 8 -4 in the only other game played in that division.
