Goals Plymouth hosts Veteran's Cup
Goals Plymouth was delighted to host it's first Veteran's Cup recently with several teams competing to be crowned inaugural Champion's.
Teams comprised of up to 8 players who were 35 years of age or older, other than one who could be over 30 years - well someone had to do the running around! There was a mixture of silky skills as some players were able to turn the clock back while others were just pleased to be able to put the boots on again, notably one of Goals regular customers who were aptly named, Frail Madrid.

General Manager, Steve Megson said afterwards, "It was great to see everyone dusting off the cobwebs and competing for the trophy with a good deal of humour thrown in. We don't stop playing because we get older, we get older because we stop playing". He added, "The feedback was very positive and although we would have liked to have had a few more teams on the day we hope it can become a regular event in the Goals tournament calendar".
