Goals Plymouth's Student League kicks off
The Goals Plymouth student league started last week with an excellent start to the season. The league comprising of 18 teams played their 1st matches in either the Sunday or Thursday divisions. Teams were made up of players from Plymouth University, UCP Marjon as well as various 6th forms and colleges.
Top scorers were Lisson Pirates who managed a massive 20 goals against Lucky Strike FC who scored 8. The Pirates who won the Goals Student Cup are definitely a team to watch out for. The league has proved to be very popular and is looking to expand over the forthcoming weeks. General Manager, Steve Megson said, "we are very pleased to be hosting the Goals Student League again this year and wish all the teams the best of luck over the remainder of the season".
