A ROADSHOW highlighting the opportunities for businesses in the Government's flagship Green Deal energy efficiency programme is coming to Plymouth.

The scheme is due to start later this year, and the roadshow will arrive in the city on June 26, being based at Plymouth Argyle's Home Park stadium.

A spokesman for the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) said: "The Green Deal is the Government's scheme to revolutionise the energy efficiency of millions of homes and businesses across the nation.

"This represents a huge opportunity for companies to get involved as part of the Green Deal supply chain, and these briefings have been set up so they can learn more about how it will work and put forward ideas.

"Companies interested in supplying into the Green Deal are encouraged to attend one of the briefings – from manufacturers and installers, to energy advisors and consultants.

"However, we are particularly interested in attracting smaller companies."

The DECC and the Energy Efficiency Partnership for Buildings (EEPB) are hosting breakfast briefings for the supply chain to find out more about opportunities under the Green Deal.

These events are free to attend. For details and to make a booking to attend visit www.decc.gov.uk/en/content/cms/tackling/green_deal/gd_industry/supply_chain/supplychainrs/supplychainrs.aspx
