POLICE are hunting for a group of men who left a man with facial injuries after repeatedly kicking him in the face in an unprovoked attack in Stoke.

A 36-year-old man left the Masonic Inn at around 11pm on Friday March 8 and was walking home alone.

When he reached Packington Street he was set upon by a group of seven men, one of whom punched him the face knocking him to the ground.

The other offenders then circled around him and all of them repeatedly kicked the victim in the body and face.

One of offenders is described as being of average height and build, wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit top with light coloured patterns on the stomach and possibly a baseball cap. A second man was wearing all dark clothing and was carrying a black rucksack. Contact police on 101, quoting ED/13/1382.

“Its ok victim everything will be fine im sure?.when these thugs get caught?, well one or two of them anyway.you wont be compensated much (not as much as the courts).and the thugs will get a couple of mths away.and told be good little boys for the next year or 2. what a sad state of affairs it is these days. it was never like this 20yrs ago in plymouth, well as bad all you read about in plymouth is murders, rapist, and assaults.so much for making and wanting plymouth to be a safe place to work live and bring up our kids. GET IT SORTED.POLICE, COUNCILS,AND EVERYONE WHO LIVES IN PLYNOUTH.NO WONDER WHY ITS CLASSED AS A DUMP. try paying more money to make it safer rather than masking over the problems and making it look pretty. very sad place .”
