Head-on crash closes road at rush hour
THE main road from Modbury into Plymouth was shut at Brixton after a head-on crash during the rush-hour today.
Two people were taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries after the collision between a white Ford Transit and a silver Volkswagen Eos.
The crash happened at 8.02am on Chittleburn Hill at Brixton.
Almost an hour later police said the road was still blocked.
The ambulance service called the fire brigade as a precaution. They took the driver of the Transit to hospital, and at 8.54am the other driver was on a stretcher and on the way to hospital.
A police spokesman said the airbags of both vehicles were inflated in the crash.

“People drive like idiots along this road. Its as simple as that some drivers have a death wish. Why do some people loose their sence of fear when behind the wheel. They actually act as if there invincable. Madness”

“so sorry for you being late! but perhaps more concern should be given to our two employees who were in the vehicle injured and stretchered off to Derriford before you worry about being late for work!!!!”
