Heroin user jailed for failing to comply with order
A HEROIN user who failed to comply with a community order has been jailed.
Gareth Andrew, 32, missed appointments with probation officers and drug tests, Plymouth magistrates heard.
The court tore up the order and resentenced him for his original offence of theft, jailing him for six weeks.
Andrew, of Kings Tamerton Road, was sentenced in August for theft of vodka, gin and blades worth £130 from a Wolseley Road store on June 5. Magistrates gave him a 12-month community order with a six-month Drug Rehabilitation Requirement.
