Hodges delighted by senior support
ACADEMY manager Kevin Hodges has revealed the part Plymouth Argyle's senior squad played in the FA Youth Cup triumph over Exeter City this week.
Several members of the first team, led by captain Darren Purse, attended the tie at Home Park and saw the Pilgrims complete a convincing 3-0 victory.
They will now be away to Oxford United or Yeovil Town in the second round.
Argyle manager Carl Fletcher and his coaching staff of Romain Larrieu and Kevin Nancekivell also wished them well before their Devon derby against Exeter, which attracted an attendance of 748.

Striker Tyler Harvey grabbed the first two goals for the Pilgrims, with Joshua Hutchinson completing the scoring.
Hodges said: "The first team and all the management staff came in before the game and wished the young players the best of luck.
"It was a nice gesture and was very much appreciated. I don't think you see that very often at football clubs where your senior players come in and support the younger ones.
"I was really pleased with that gesture and I think the young players responded in the right way."
Hodges continued: "I wasn't expecting 748 people to turn up, to be fair, but it gave the young lads a nice experience.
"Hopefully, we gave them a little bit of entertainment and something useful to watch."
