"I've been helping the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in Plympton for more than 30 years now."
She was presented a certificate by members of the RBL at Meadowside Care Home, where she is a resident. The certificate, from the national chairman of the RBL, sincerely thanked Mrs Boyett for her staunch and loyal service.
In her time she has helped with the Poppy Appeal and helped with musical concerts to raise funds for the charity.
Mrs Boyett had to withdraw her services to the RBL late last year due to ill health.
She added: "My grateful thanks go to the way Meadowside have helped me."
