Honour for rugby star dedicated to charities
A former English rugby international and tireless Westcountry charity worker has been handed an honorary degree.
Graham Dawe, head coach at Plymouth Albion, received the honour from University College Plymouth St Mark & St John (Marjon), for his "contribution to the fabric of society".
The 50-year-old, whose career took him to Bath, Sale Sharks, Plymouth Albion and Launceston, has been heavily involved in charity events, most recently helping to organise Help for Heroes games between the Armed Forces and Plymouth Albion.
