ARGYLE defender Krisztian Timar has been recalled by Hungary for their next two World Cup qualifiers.

The Budapest-born centre-back is in a 23-strong squad which also includes former Pilgrims' midfielders Akos Buzsaky and Peter Halmosi.

Timar

was not called up by Magyars' coach Erwin Koeman for their last game, a 1-0 defeat at home to Romania in a friendly on August 12.

But he could get a chance to add to his three appearances for Hungary in the coming days.

They have important World Cup qualifiers against Sweden on Saturday, September 5 and Portugal four days later.

Both matches will be played at the Ferenc Puskas Stadium in Budapest.

Hungary are currently in second spot in Group 1 of the European qualifying zone for the World Cup, which will take place in South Africa next summer.

They trail group leaders Denmark by three points, with four games to go.

But Hungary are four points clear of Portugal in third and Sweden in fourth, so a play-off spot – at the very least – is a possibility for them.

New Argyle loan signing Darcy Blake is also away on international duty this week.

Blake has been included in the Wales squad for a European Under-21 Championship qualifier against Italy at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea, on Friday.

He has played 11 times for Wales at under-21 level.

In total, seven members of the Argyle squad will be away from Home Park over all of part of the next fortnight because of international call-ups.

The others are Rory Fallon (New Zealand), Reda Johnson (Benin), Alan Judge and Cillian Sheridan (Ireland under-21s) and Joe Mason (Ireland under-19s).

Blake made his debut for Argyle in the 3-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

After a torrid start to the game, when Owls' winger Jermaine Johnson went past him on a couple of occasions, the right-back soon settled down.

Blake said: "He (Johnson) is an experienced player and he's very quick.

"He got past me once or twice but I stuck at it. I thought I did alright but the result in the end is disappointing."

Blake had only one training session with Argyle before the clash against the Owls.

He completed his loan move from Cardiff City on Friday morning, and went straight into the side.

Blake added: "I can't wait back to come back from Wales under-21s and start full-time training with Plymouth."

    “Davey
Please provide your version of events re Seip Surrock event as I feel you may have been misled by what you may have read. He is and was a dedicated player with the interest of the club and fellow players at heart. All I am saying do not make him the scapegoat for the failings which you and many others have clearly identified. As soon as PS leaves the better and then the fans can reunite as can the players in correct positions”

In what way was my post factually inaccurate.?You make this statement without explaining why,and then basically agree with everything I have said,
Obviously another mixed up Argyle supporter.”

“Is this headline pointed at Mr Sturrock? The fans seem to be in favour of Timar playing for Argyle, he was on the bench along with other capable players, so what is Sturrock really up to? I don't think he (Sturrock) knows himself, could not work out what was going wrong on saturday, so didn't know which substitutions to make. The manager appears to be at loggerheads with one player or another on a constant basis, and with too many players to manage are we surprized.

I hear Luggy is looking for another central defender; well why not convert Fallon, he is tall, speaks English and can't hit the target so won't concede any OGs.

Reviewing the players who have recently been sold or loaned out, they have been making more saves and scoring more goals than Argyle are!!

What a mess, but who can we get to sort it????”

“Davey You are factually inaccurate so as such your opinion is totally worthless re Seip.Your views on Mr Stuborn are closer to the truth. Timar should be playing but it seems the Scot does not rate him so he and Seip are probably the new bad boys as he has removed Walton Easter Stack and Puncheon as players like children it seems must be seen but not heard.”

“As many postees have already stated, good enough for International football, but not good enough for a strugling Championship side. You couldn't make it up.
The treatment of Timar,Walton etc.has been diabolical ,yet Seif the ex chairmans son in law was welcomed back into the fold after treating his team mates very badly.Seifs form over the games I have seen has not been very good, and I definately thought after the Cardif game that he was at fault, but no Mr Sturrocks' scapegoat ,Timar.A pairing of Timarwith Arnasson would I believe help.It might give Seif a kick up the back side to sort himself out.
Mr Sturrock said after Saturdays loss that he didn't use his subs as he wanted to give his new strikers time on the pitch. What a JOKE,he didn't have to replace his strikers he could have put on an extra forward.Tactically the set piece corners are also a joke,Inswingers, virtually every one on Saturday going to their keeper. Why not mix it up a liitle?
It was very noticeable that when Wednesday took an inswinger it was correctly directed, causing problems for Argyle.
It is very depressing at the moment there are at present so many areas where Argyle with good management and coaching could improve without buying extra players. As I have sais so often ,we have the tools to do the job,Mr Sturrock does not know how to use them.”

“Kristian Timar should be a regular for Argyle now he seems to have recovered from that injury. I know that Cardiff caused problems but not all teams will be that good. Had Timar played Saturday with Arnason in midfield, I think we would have won. Why does PS upset players instead of getting the best out of them?”

“Why cant Sturrock go on international duty and not come back, send him and the inept backroom staff as far away as possible. its time for the board to move them out,why waste this 2 week brake sack them all now. I have follwed Argyle now for over 45 years so i know we have had far worse starts than this, but we have been going backwards since PS came back,i have no confidence in his ability to turn this around. We need a manager with passion not one so full of poor excuses and blind to the fact that he is so out of his depth at this level, why cant he see this and do the best thing for him and the club resign now PLEASE.”
