Ice warning for city
THE Met Office has issued an ice warning for today.
The yellow warning, which warns the public to be aware of ice, was issued to begin just after midnight until 11am this morning.
The Met Office said that wintry showers and strong winds would continue in many areas overnight and that surfaces would remain wet from continued showers of rain, sleet and snow, allowing ice to form.
The Met Office warned that the public should be aware of the risk of icy stretches on roads and pavements and journey's should be planned, taking these risks into consideration.
