PLYMOUTH chef James Tanner, pictured right, is joining the cream of UK food and drink experts at the country's most famous home fair.

He is one of the celebrity chefs recruited to give live demonstrations at the Ideal Home Show in London.

James is a regular on the BBC's Ready Steady Cook and also has fellow Beeb shows Step up to the Plate, Take on the Takeaway, Saturday Kitchen, Something for the Weekend and Put Your Menu Where Your Mouth Is on his TV CV.

He and brother Chris own and run Tanners Restaurant in the city centre and the Barbican Kitchen in the historic waterside quarter.

The Roux-trained brothers have picked up a whole menu of food gongs including Best Restaurant in the UK for 2007/8 in the AA Awards.

The Ideal Home Show will run from March 20 to April 5 at Earls Court.
