International Women's Day celebrated at Plymouth University
WOMEN from across Plymouth and beyond came together to celebrate International Women's Day.
Organised by Soroptomist International Plymouth & District, a colourful, exciting and thought-provoking event was held at Plymouth University to celebrate women.
A host of groups and organisations were on hand to pass on their knowledge with a mixture of both the fun and the serious.
Guest speakers included Gary Wallace of DAAT (Drug and Alcohol Action Team) and Katy Bradshaw of Plymouth Women's Refuge. Prof Andy Phippen also gave a talk on 'sexting', asking if technology presented greater opportunity for sexual harassment.
