Principal Steve Baker, said: "This is testament to the hard work by everyone here at the college. We are continually striving to learn from others around us and through our international partners; this is evident in the high-quality teaching and learning which takes place here at the college."
The British Council, who awarded the accolade, found that the web technology available to students could cement links with international countries, in particular with its link with two co-operative schools in Spain.

As a co-operative academy, Lipson has been keen to work with other members of the Co-operative Schools Society.
Their aim is to ensure students are being prepared as active global citizens for the global economy in the world of work.
The link has seen students emailing, skyping and even planning to visit each other on school trips and staff hope it will have long-term benefits for all students involved.
A representative from the British Council said: "It was great to see evidence of peer education and learning across age groups in the college's application.
"We were surprised at how advanced the school is at using new technologies to embed its international links."
