A BEACH clean is to be held at Batten Bay, Mount Batten this Saturday organised by the Marine Conservation Society Plymouth Local Group.

The clean-up will last for around one to one-and-a-half hours.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the top of the steps at the beach at 10.30am.

Equipment and survey forms will be provided but people participate at their own risk and should wear appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.

Children are welcome but should be accompanied by an adult and it would be helpful to email mcsplymouthlocalgroup@hotmail.com in advance.

You can find out more about the MCS and Beachwatch at http://www.mcsuk.org/ and more about the MCS Plymouth Local Group at http://www.mcsplymouthlocalgroup.co.uk/
