J-Hawks tighten grip on P&D Basketball League title
BASKETBALL: J-Hawks took control of top spot in the league with a crushing victory over their closest rivals the Pirates.
J-Hawks ran out 82-44 winners and barring a major upset look set to go on and claim the league crown.

Second-placed J-Hawks ran out to a quick 10-0 lead in the opening minutes, before being pegged back slightly to lead 18-13 after the first period.
Three three-pointers from Tristan Hall to close out the half extended the J-Hawks lead to 14 points.

A dominant third quarter (28-10) from the young J-Hawks secured the victory.
Hall led all scorers with 28 including six three-pointers. He was supported by Jordan Blount with 21 points.
Plymouth Sharks enjoyed mixed fortunes in their two games. Sharks started the first of the fixtures slowly and were soundly defeated – 98-50 – by the Bandits.
But Sharks then recovered their poise and got back to winning ways with a 62-51victory over opponents Bude.
Bandits remain eighth, Sharks go up to seventh place, while Bude rise to 10th.
