Jack-knifed trailer causes hours of tailbacks on A38 near Plymouth
CITY commuters faced hours of tailbacks yesterday morning after a four-by-four and trailer overturned on the A38.
Police were called to the incident on the dual carriageway, on the Plymouth-bound stretch of road near Marley Head, at around 6.30am.

A blue Land Rover Discovery towing a trailer full of what police described as “rubbish type material” had overturned causing both lanes to be blocked.
The police said the vehicle, which was registered to a keeper in Glastonbury, had jack-knifed.

Both lanes were closed for nearly three hours before officers managed to reopen one lane shortly after 9.15am.
No one was injured in the incident and both lanes were reopened some four hours later at around 10.30am.
