“After the worst performance of the season by a long way, I now feel compelled to give my 2p worth.

i have read in detail the posts on other threads and feel that people are still missing the point.

I am a hald full girl BUT I also know things take time. I realise JS has just come in, got 4 from 6 points and has started to make his mark but still what we are lacking is that killer finish - call it a goal scorer if you wish BUT we just do not have one.

The 2 lame and injured donkeys have not been missed or got it as there have been no goals with or without them so they surely are surplus. The young lad Murray is not as hot in front of goal from what i have seen, Rueben did not cut it first time round so why come back again, and I still think the fireman is worth another shot. He needs feeding from the wings (JS Are you listening) and may be the ace we need.

We are cash strapped but the players we have are either not gelling or are not capable of playing.

Yes, we need an overhaul, yes we need some good players and yes we need a decent goalscoring machine and yes I am optimistic BUT I am struggling to see the wood through the trees now.

We won't get the much requested goal scorer and after saturdays performance, sorry debacle, we are seriously in the soft stuff. I am not sure JS realises just how deep.

If we do not win against the Daggers on Saturday it really is time to give up. 3 home games and lets see the return from them.

I do not want to see my team disappear into oblivion but unless there is a miracle soon we are seriously doomed given teams around us have games in hand and have a better appetite than we seem to do.

I expect to be slated for this post but quite frankly I don't care - we're in a serious mess and how we get out of it I do not really know.

I remain faithful to my club and want success but it may be a case of too little too late.

    Mandy Lifeboat xx”

“If I wanted to read what self-obsessed non-entities think in 140 characters on Twitter, then I'd actually sign up for Twitter. Has the Herald's cost-cutting reached such a level that it now employs "journalists" (and I use the word in its lightest possible sense) who's only qualification is a GNVQ in copying and pasting?”

“I hope John Sheridan's signings turn it around. Sincere good wishes to them. But it does begin to look like rearranging the deck-chairs on the Titanic.”
