THREE of Plymouth Argyle's loan signings were on international duty over the weekend.

Midfielder Alan Judge (pictured) scored one of the goals for Republic of Ireland under-21s in an impressive 2-1 win against Spain on Friday night.

Dublin-born Judge put Ireland 2-0 up in the 58th minute of the friendly in Waterford.

It was the 20-year-old's sixth appearance for his country at under-21 level and his first goal.

Judge was replaced by Christy Fagan in the 76th minute of the contest.

Ireland will play Turkey in Cork tomorrow night in their first 2011 European Under-21 Championship qualifier.

Midfielder Carl Fletcher started for Wales in their 2-0 defeat by Finland at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, on Saturday.

Fletcher was substituted in the 64th minute of the 2010 World Cup qualifier, making way for Toronto FC's Carl Robinson.

Wales will play Germany in another World Cup tie at the Millennium Stadium on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, defender David Gray was an unused substitute for Scotland under-21s in a 1-0 away win against Albania in Elbasan on Saturday.

It was their first group game in qualifying for the 2011 European Under-21 Championship.

Scotland will face Albania again at Falkirk in the return match on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Argyle reserves will play Cheltenham Town in the Totesport.com Combination at Home Park tomorrow (2pm).

The Pilgrims are second in the Wales and West Division, two points behind Exeter City but having played four matches fewer than the leaders.
